2FaceLegendary pop act, 2face Idibia has finally broken his silence on the probable lawsuit and copyright allegations levied against him by his former band mate, Blackface Naija few days ago.

According to Blackface Naija who threatened to take the pop star to court, 2face Idibia who recently rebranded to 2Baba stole the smash hit single christened ‘Let Somebody Love You’ from him.

Speaking on the recent allegations, 2baba disclosed to Channels TV that he first thought Blackface’s account was hacked by mischief makers.“It is just so unfortunate. I do not know where it is coming from but I am trying to think of different reasons. At first, I thought his account was hacked”.
The ‘Only Me’ crooner however declared his love and respect for his fellow band mate of the defunct Plantashun Boiz crew. He disclosed that he is determined to trash the issue with Blackface.

“We will trash the whole matter but I got nothing but love and respect for him and it is just so unfortunate that he is coming at me like that,” he said.

When asked if he still considers Blackface a friend, 2face said “I mean apparently he doesn’t consider me his friend anymore but I wish him no ill-will. Let’s leave it like that for now.”

You will recall that Blackface accused 2face of back-biting and alleged that the song ‘Let Somebody Love You’ which was released in 2014 and features international act, Bridget Kelly, belongs to him. He also publicly called out pop sensation, Wizkid for stealing components of his song ‘Ojuelegba’ from him.

In the years past, 2face Idibia and Blackface – both members of the defunct group, Plantashun Boiz – once had issues over ownership of the popular song, ‘African Queen’. The pair however agreed to ‘joint’ ownership some 4 years after the song had clinched several awards which is the first of its kind in Nigerian Music history.
